I’m sick of reading, thinking and talking about AI. But this is the world we live in now, I suppose. My thoughts on AI are complicated because it is complicated. Standalone comments or essays aren’t useful because people tend to put you into one of two camps depending on what you said in that moment.

Camp AI bro: AI is awesome and will solve all our problems. You’re a fool if you don’t use it. Camp Luddite Doomer: AI is terrible, it doesn’t work, we’re in a bubble and it may cause the end of the world.

It’s okay to be both, or neither.

I think we have to be reasonable.

I don’t want to fill this site with writing about AI so I built this to share all my contradictory, messy thoughts on the matter.

I used “mttsmth” for the domain as it’s my name without the AI. I built it as a React app that allows me to log in and post, very much like Twitter/X. I’ll add to it every time I have something to say about AI.
